1948 Chevrolet T Bar New Old Stock 47 48 Chevrolet Center Grille Molding
This is a vintage NORS 1948 Chevrolet T Bar. This NORS(new old stock replacement)'48 Chevrolet T Bar(or center grille molding) is an early replacement(or aftermarket) part, probably manufactured in the 1950's. It was found in the attic of an old auto parts warehouse over 35 years ago, and is new old stock, never installed on a car. T-Bar is clean, with shiney chrome.
Examined closely, chrome has some areas of duller finish, along with some small tarnish specks here and there(see pics). Molding is basically very straight, but a couple of slight wave imperfections in metal present from when part was stamped(on either side of raised elliptical ornamentation at top center)(see close-up pic). Still a neat piece for a driver or un-restored car as-is, or should be a nice one to re-chrome for show. Back side of molding is as clean as front(see back side pics). This part replaces Chevrolet part number 3687150.
As stated, correct for'48 Chevrolet cars, will also work on'47.
