1924 1925 1926 1927 Pierce Arrow Wheel Hood Ornament Mascot Radiator Cap Antique
Up for sale is an original nickel plated brass Pierce Arrow hood ornament / mascot. Measurements: This measures 5 1/2 wide from the tip of the arrow to the end of the feather points. It measures 2 7/8 tall from the bottom of the round base to the top of the wing.
The fine threaded stud measures 3/8 thick with 24 threads per inch. We are not sure which year(s). Please do your own research. Condition: This is in good condition.
We believe it is authentic, as it is nickel plated brass and the detailing is excellent. That said there is some light grayish compound like material in two areas, on the mounting base and on one tip of the feathered arrow end. We don't know what the purpose of this was. Otherwise the detailing is excellent. There is some light luster / surface finish loss revealing a bit of the brass underneath in a few spots.It is heavy for the size. There are some light dings here and there. The stud looks very good.
